The name Rusolo appears to be a distortion of Orseolo, the family that has lived in palazzi in this area since ancient times. 

The square is also known as “del Canova”, since the home in which the famous sculptor, Antonio Canova, died is located here. The name San Gallo derives from the church. There are a classic well head
