The name of the bridge, like the next street, derives from the Modena family which occupied homes, stores and warehouses in this area, as evidenced in various period documents. From the bridge, we see the Secco family palazzo, with its coat of arms composed of a curved shield with a barred lion on top and a volute frame and a holy statuette
